New Website Provides Look At Curriculum

A new website allows parents the opportunity to see the Manitoba Education curriculum and what their children are learning in school.

On November 29th, My Child In School was launched, and overviews each grade from kindergarten through grade 12. For each grade, details are given as to the different subjects teachers are covering through the year, and what different topics are focused upon in each subject.

Portage la Prairie School Division Assistant Superintendent Mike Mauws says the site is a great resource for parents to gain a better understanding of their child's education, and is also is handy for teachers to recall the updates to the curriculum.

English, Social Studies, Math, Art, French, Physical Education, and Science are some of the subjects that each are highlighted.
